I have a cfw 3.71m33-2 PSP, and I tried playing Parasite Eve 2 (gameid fixed also), but it hangs at the "Presented by..." screen. I checked around the forum, and I concluded that PE2 won't play on what I have now.

I also have the 1.50 kernal add-on on my PSP, and I fear of updating to 3.71m33-3 or 3.71m33-4 because I fear that the add-on will disappear and need to re-install. So, my question is, what do I do?

Or at least does someone have a NTSC-U file save of PE2 at the beginning of Disc 2 (to play PE2 on my PS2)? I would be extremely grateful as I want to play the game from beginning to end.

Your 1.50 add-on wont disappear if you install 3.71 m33-4.

As for your PE2 problem, you are going to have to set up and use popsloader:

Run the game on 3.40.

there've been fixes posted for parasite eve 1 and 2 many times, use the search button.. don't get discouraged by all the results for PE1, PE2 is in there :) Also, just upgrade to 3.9m33 and use the latest 1.5 kernel on that.. and the latest popsloader also

Thank you both for your assistance, but I got a question about something else. The PSAR Dumper (when installing Popsloader) is what I'm about to ask about.

If you're using custom firmware (old and new), wasn't that among the first things that needed to be done when using custom firmware for the first time? I did something like that when I first downgraded my PSP less than a year ago. Or is it something that I have to do again for Popsloader?

By the way, this post is modified because I am happy. I finished updating my PSP into 3.71 m....3.....3-4 (m33-4). Yeahhh!!!
