Well if you won't use popsloader then downgrade to 3.40 because it's the only one I've heard of it working with.

The number of discs that a game uses has NOTHING to do with popsloader. Popsloader is used to run older versions of the PSX emulator, some games run better on the old PSX emulators. It's an incredible plugin, you should really set it up:

I remember seeing a best compatibility list for PSX games thread (not talking about the compatibility list on the Sticky) and now can't find it. The compatibility list on the sticky only list games that work but doesn't say which version of pops the game works on. Breath of Fire 4 works on 3.40. Was trying to get it to work on 3.52, 3.71 and 3.90. All failed, the intro movie wouldn't play and you only get a white screen. But using popsloader and booting 3.40 and it works. Don't want to use popsloader, I guess you can use Timemachine and have multiple firmwares. But popsloader is great, you get to choose all of those old firmware as plugins and they don't affect the CFW on the PSP, just like CXMB. Noobs are messing up their PSP by messing around with Flash 0. Just use CXMB for custom themes and there will be less Unrecoverable PSP bricks.

No it will not do anything to your firmware. It's a plug in, so it just run off the memory card. USe this link, it has all the build.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/20emse
just extract it and place in the root of your memory stick, inside of the seplugin folder. If you don't have that folder, just create it. Then go to recovery, power down the PSP and hold R and then turn it on and go into the plugin option and enable the plugin. Hold R when booting up the PSX game and you will get to choose the version of popsloader. For what ever reason, this don't work on lexar brand MS. You will have to make the popsloader on a Lexar brand Memory stick to make it work on lexar ms. But it should work on Sandisk, I think the original creator made it off that kind of stick.

1st, you have to extract the rar file from the down load link. After the extraction, there should be a folder. open that folder and copy everything from that folder and place it inside of the seplugins folder.

I guess what you did was drag the whole extracted folder name POPSLoader_3.00-3.72 and placed it into the seplugins folder, and if you did this, the PSP will not find it in that directory. What you need to do is open up POPSLoader_3.00-3.72 folder, inside, it should have a popsloader folder inside and popsloader.prx and a pops txt file. You need to put those things into the seplugins folder. And make sure that the folder is exactly name seplugins What I should of told you to do is after you extracted the rar file, is to rename the POPSLoader_3.00-3.72 folder to seplugins. I guess the simply way to do this now is delete the seplugins folder from your memory stick and then rename the POPSLoader_3.00-3.72 folder seplugins and placed that back into the memory stick.
