Not Working

Okay.. I'm having a problem that I spent the past 9 hours trying.. literally.


I've downgraded 2 PSP Slims before.. now I'm trying to downgrade my own (the previous two were my friends).

I just bought the Slim yesterday. I still have the Pandora battery, but not the Magic MS.

So I used the my 4GB card to make another Magic MS.

After I made it, I put the MS in, and placed my battery in.. but it doesn't start up. I'm sure the battery is fully charged and working since I just used it as Pandora the other day.

For the MS, I've seriously tried every stickied guide on this forum and on the qj forum, but every time, it does not start up after I put the battery in.

Any ideas?

I wanna get this done today, I Have a 15 hour flight tomorrow and I'm going to kill myself.

4 gig sticks dont work mms can only be made on 512 to 2 gig

That's funny. I use a 4 gig stick for my pandora kit and it works fine.

I also have used UPMS to make a MMS, and I used a 4Gb fakey...

It still worked...just took a bit longer.

Ild recommend UPMS, for making your card. I tried a couple others also, and simply wouldnt work for me.

4GB works...

How did you do it previously? I would recommend buying a 1GB or something that is dedicated for Pandora's Battery, that is what I do so whenever a friend needs a downgrade I just gotta pop it in and convert my battery.

Did you hold down the left shoulder button as you turned on the PSP? I believe that the UPMS and maybe some of the other versions of the magic memory stick require that.

4GB works.
2GB micro-sd to memstick adapter works also.
I bet he forgot to format his memstick with proper tools which create another blank space before first partition.
