First Banjo Kazooie 3 screens

The first screen shots have been leaked ahead of Microsoft's press event on Tuesday. It was also rumored that Microsoft will unveil a Xbox 360 motion controller which is "geared specifically for Banjo Kazooie 3 gameplay" at the event.

They kept Banjo Crack addict face. And whats up with the Chomp Chomp rip off? And why is there vehicles for each shot? They look like they are both in the same level. So a boat thing and a airplane thing? Wtf?

I am not going into depth with the Graphics, because I am not sure if the setting is in toy land or something.

I was trying out the first one on N64, the camera controls where horrible.

The game looks good, something i wouldn't buy though and i love platformers.

Say what? you love platformers, but wouldn't buy a spinoff of Banjo Kazooie? that doesn't make any sense for me.. Banjo Kazooie on N64 is one of the best games made! I bought a N64 recently only to play BK and Banjo Tooie! (And the fact to play Zelda OoT didn't scare me off either) It's just great! Can't wait for this game!

looks like MS are going after ratchet and clank? If theres one thing 360 lacks its decent platforming. Hope that if they do bring out a motion controller, they market it properly and it doesnt end up an under-supported addon (ala xbox live vision, hd-dvd, scene it controllers etc)

a lot of n64 games had crappy camera angles so mario 64 could use the C buttons as camera controls :D
seriously i doubt camera angles will be an issue now and this looks damn good better than conker on xbox, here's hoping its real time gameplay :) This is on my buy list :p

One of my Favorite games of all time, is Goldeneye, especially with 3 Friends playing Deathmatch............:eek:

These screens do not show much. I dont consider these screens legitimate simply because they dont show a proper game perspective (hud, lifebar, behind view).

We have no idea how doctored these shots are either. The fact that they chose these as the first screens instead of proper perspective is telling. This is almost as bad as those game commercials which never show actual gameplay footage.

Also I noticed the chain chomp rip off. I guess we can expect a Diddy/Donkey Kong reference in here as well.

do us all a favour and go back to your ps3, fanboy....banjo and kazooie were doing the buddy-platformer thing back on the n64 when you were still in diapers....long before ratchet and clank was even conceived by a bunch of sony board room execs (to captialize on a market they could never quite crack before ps2).

gotta love the innovation.

this game is a sequel to one of the defining moments in 3d platformers...i just hope this is a return to form for rare. IMHO, they havent really produced a decent game since the n64 days, with the last great game they produced being perfect dark on the n64.

Wow looks way more decent than i thought it was going to... i agree that you don't see much in the shots but what IS shown is very nice looking. If the 360 needs more of something its definitely good platformers. Can't wait for it :)

I'd buy that but look at the programming credits for Banjo...pretty much the whole team is still there. The part of rare that left were the Goldeneye guys.

The Ratchet and Clank comments really show the youth of some posters, go dig through console history a bit...Banjo and Kazooie were doing the "ratchet and clank" team thing before Insomniac existed. If anything Ratchet was a complete rip-off of Banjo. Clank riding on Ratchets back, the helicopter jumps, etc were borrowed directly from Banjo.

Banjo games were some of the better games in n64.


i think the series has been around longer than rachet... even mario sunshine borrowed some elements from banjo games.

That being said. I dont really have much faith in rare right now. and i hope they didnt make a motion controller for this. It will probably be crap, and just another tack on peripheral for 360. Its a little late in the game for 360 to get a tack on. Save it for the next xbox, and develop it right.

i really wonder why rare cant crank out games like they did back in the day. I mean ms has the cash to facilitate them. Obviously they were good for the snes and n64. Maybe nintendo nutured them the right way to think outside the box, and maybe some miyamoto philosophy thrown in there too. MS needs to take care of rare as they do with bungie and epic games. Theres talent there we all know this! comeon rare! oh yeah MAKE FREAKIN KILLER INSTINCT 3 !
