Sounds like a good old brick, use DCv5 to unbrick it, read the stickies for some tuts and stuff

actually the firmware i was installing was just downloded by the psp itself after connecting to the internet through my home router. i will try to install dcv5 and see how it goes.
what i have now is a psp that won t boot and a blank formatted 1gb duo stick .

If it ran out of power while it was trying to install OFW, one option is to get it exchanged under warranty.
They will replace if it happened while updating FW - i know cause i have done it.
Otherwise exactly as deathcradle says Flash using Dvc5
