When I connect my psp slim to my HDTV with the offical sony component cable it only fills the middle of the screen and zooming only works with the composite one

Depends, is there a homebrew that will cause people wanting to make a new thread to ask questions in a "RELEASE FORUM" to not do so, and instead makes them read the posts in said forum looking for things that may be progress on an attempt by someone who RELEASES things to do just that?

I'll give a clue as to what I'm getting at...

[Slim only]FuSa: play on TV via any cable!

And the answer is actually no, nothing there yet, not unless your TV supports zooming the signal you are using all on it's own.

edit:/ coming off like a jerk isn't one of my strong points, sorry for doing such a poor job of it :(

Actually it does, they are working on getting fullscreen, but they don't have it yet. Be patient.

Now that would be nice... It would be even nicer if it was possible for it to output at a resolution higher than 480p

I get not so horrible results by setting the PSP channel on my TV at some form of zoom setting.. It chops parts of the XMB off, but it gets a reasonably close to fullscreen display... (patapon plays better on a tv through a stereo, or with headphones as opposed to playing with JUST the PSP)

Why don't you friggin phone sony tech support about this?
Tell them you have a sony 50" plasma even if you don't.
Tell them you spent $5000 + on sony products and you want fullscreen on your crap.

The PSP only does 480i and 480p. Besides, the PSP doesn't have enough power for HDTV. Be grateful for 720x480.

Yea I guess you're right.

Its just that I have a 65 inch tv and it looks a little blocky and the sound is horrible for some reason... nowhere near as clear as in my car...
