So i been playing FF7 for a while
got past the disk change but the game freeezes at the
part where you go back to forgotten city and you place the key in
the musical box (basically middle of second cd) then the waterfall scene begins, screen goes black and game seems to go into an inifite loop.
running 3.90 tried pops under 3.71, 3.72, 3.52
Any ideas? The only one i seem to have is that it was a bad cd image that was converted to eboot.

Most likely a faulty CD Image, it should run fine at 3.72

that is because you have a bad release ;) this was released by a warez group and even on original consoles it crashes there. Guess it was some kind of beta-ff7

is there anyway to transfer the save data from one version to another.
I tried hex editing the save file and changing the game id, putting in the save folder and it still doesnt seem to work. Anyone has any ideas how to do it

don't change the savegame, change the eboot! you can specify a gameID and saveID in most convertors. saveID is only applicable to savegames so use the same one as your savegame.
