Just wondering if these are worth the money as i don't want to keep opening my xbox every time i have to update my firmware. Also what type of duel layer discs are the best for backing up your xbox360 games but i don't want to pay the earth for them.

Regards

I bought this but then removed as i have only flashed once!! If you want one mine is brand new i can sell you. Still have the box and everything.

I use arita ritek disks for my backups. Always work good. Go here - http://www.digitalpromo.co.uk/arita-ritek-24x-speed-dual-layerr-white-printable-85gb-dvdr-25-pack-special-offer-pri-2231.html?reviews_id=200

If you're new to this just use verbs at the moment . The latest batches of Arita's have been horrible for me (pioneer 112d here too)

Everyone has different experiences. I bought a new spindle of 25 and got them wednesday. Burned 4 backups with no probs. Im using a Pioneer 212.

I've used about 75 of them , about 15 have been coasters . The drive burns every other crappy media fine though

Like i say personal preference. I have not had one dre and i've been using them for months and months. I burn with the newest version of imgburn and at 2.4x. Like i say no coasters so far.

The blaster is useful especially if c4eva makes mistakes or new detections are added, i've flashed with it five or so times and without it twice, some people will bash it but it does the job well and saves a lot of time.
As for the discs i swear by verbatim and always will :)
