Strange Update

For 3.90M33 you require the official sony 3.90 and the update process takes about 2-3 mins to complete.

However if you are running 3.80M33 and download the 3.90M33-2 or 3 updates, it'll install without the official sony 3.90 eboot and take about 30 seconds.

The logic is really quite simple. The update checks what firmware you are running. If the newer firmware had loads of changes then it loads the whole new firmware. If it doesn't have loads of changes, then it's as stated.

3.80 and 3.90 didn't have much changes really....and DAX probably figured out what files to "patch" to bring 3.80 to 3.90...
