View Full Version : Datel's FreeLoader for Wii now available, exclusive pictures and information
Divineo.co.uk has informed us that they have received their first batch of Datel's FreeLoader for the Wii and have a limited amount of stock left. Any retailers who claimed to have stock of the device previously were lying, as the glass master for pressing the PAL version was completed yesterday at around 4:30pm by Datel. Better yet, there is no more need for a double swap on certain games, this has been changed to a single swap and Datel has tested over 100 import games which are all working perfectly we're told. We have also been sent along images of the final box, disc and manual. FreeLoader is available to buy from Divineo.co.uk for £9.95.

Geez cant they post a list of working games!?
There are also hundreds of games that work on PAL consoles with chips, but also do the games that dont work with ships work with the freeloader now!?

Clicked straight through to divineo uk and got to the checkout stage to find that first class shipping is over £4 !!!
Thats stupid and therefore no sale.
When most other companies shipping from UK to UK can do so first class for free (wh smiths, zavvi etc) I cannot see how £4 is anything but a rip off !

I've ordered mine from Codejunkies direct, and their postage is £5.21!
I'm assuming it will arrive by carrier rather than post though.
Still waiting for it to turn up :/

It allows you to play imported games.
For example, if you own a PAL Wii, you can use this disc to enable you to play the JAP/US version.

there is already a video mode patcher that has a 100% compatibility.
Do not buy this product its a rip off.
Download it from here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/97745602/wii-vmc_1.0.zip
1- Extract Main.dol of folder "Sysfiles" of the second partition of ISO.
2- Move the Main.dol to the exe.
3- Move to the iso & burn.

But you need a chipped Wii for that and it's not 100% compatible.

if this has 100% compatibility, or at least better compatibility than the wii game iso region patcher, and also allows blocking of firmware updates better than wiibrickblocker, then i want this.
someone come out with an iso dump of this thing quick. because if you own a wii modchip, thats all you need. an iso dump.

That's right. Someone pirate this mofo :)

Of course that is utterly pointless since if you HAVE the chip you don't need this disc in the first place.

Oh, yeah? What about the fact that it protects against semi-bricking your wii with forced firmware updates? That's what I'm interested in.
Who's the moron?

Doesn't protect any more than one of the update removal tools already out would.
Honestly... read the damn disclaimers and lack of guarantee's the manual he linked to give. This could very easily be blocked in a couple of weeks if nothing else.

I just used it with Super Smash Brother Brawl.... it performed the 'update' for the game, but not the "dashbaord"... now when I insert SSMBB after using freeloader, it doesn't ask for an update at all.
If you insert the game disc without loading the Freeloader 1st, you're asked to update.

Definitely NOT 100% compatible and I can CONFIRM this.
only a matter of time before it's dumped now :D

Hey FNG, I take it you already have one then.
So your saying you should always use Freeloader to keep from upgrades
Where did you get yours so fast?

Man, my Freeloader from Divineo UK is still not shipped out yet, anyone else in this situation? I ordered it as soon as it was posted that they were shipping in 24 hours.
I’m hoping the Wii Freeloader will have more compatibility with Gamecube games then the old Gamecube Freeloader – I recall some games requiring Action Replay codes to be used in order for the HUD to be displayed in the game. They might have been able to polish up the Gamecube code since its original release.

aaroNiGHTS: there is no mention of GameCube freeloading on the Wii Freeloader.
It says, and I quote: 'play your Wii games'
I have a Gamecube freeloader and it works with everything I through at it.
If I were you I would buy one of each like me. I did have to get a new one when Nintendo changed the firmware some months back but everything is fine now.

oh forgot to mention,
I got my Wii freeloader and SSB and everything is working just fine on my UK Wii.
Had to insert the freeloader twice to allow the upgrade through to get the game to work.
My machine was and still is 2.2 firmware (it didn't update to 3.0->) what a cool device.
Didn't get any dupe channels either.
I will use this on all my games in the future, even PAL games.
Looks like you can stick at an old firmware forever!!!
No chance of the Zelda hack not working either

I'm in the same boat as you - I pre-ordered (actualy from codejunkies though)but still havent got anything. :(
I've tried contacting codejunkies but nobody seems to be replying to my emails?
You would think that the original source of this product would have had some copies to send out to people seeing as they've paid for it?
Somebody need to dump ISO.

If you need Freeloader so much why don't you just go and buy it.
I already have mine, you seem to still be waiting for yours.
It isn't even a ripoff, it's only £10.
