I just installed a new laser and it is having even more problems than the old one reading my disks. Now nearly everything barring originals(which have really long loadings times) have the dirty disk error. I tried to pot tweak.
Could this be a problem due to the Anti static laser, i tried to remove it and have left some on but nothing is shorting the lines.

did you ever consider that it might be the chassis of the drive.is the drive an hitachi.it might be the top casing where the circular things are for the disc.try replacing it if you get no joy.
i have had to do this several times with hitachi in particular to get discs reading, then i dont have original games only backups.

well i know what u mean but i dont think its that, the things looks kinda refurbed i mean for instace there were some marks, btw could ne of this be due to the anti static solder blob.
