Nintendo Oblivious To DS Lite Hinge Crack Problem - Pay $50 To Get It Fixed!

The amount of people who have come forward to display and tell the community that the DS Lite hinge is cracked has been growing by the hours. We now have four four pictures submitted by different DS Lite owners of the left hinge cracking and at least eight confirming the problem. Kerochan who says he has treated his DS Lite like a new born baby (very carefully) found this crack on his DS and then called Nintendo. Nintendo said the warranty doesn't cover the crack and that he could pay $50 to get it fixed as his warranty was still running! Is this good enough ?

I'll make a trip to Nintendo World next week to see how the demo DS lites are holding up. How can we organize this and bring it to Nintendo's attention?
