Nintendo: Strong games have strong sales
Nintendo's Cammie Dunaway has noted that the pipeleine for 'experienced gamers' is getting robust and that strong games will equte to strong sales. Additionally, she noted that these games have 'long tails' and it's nost just a matter of first month of sales.
“We believe that the pipeline for games for experienced gamers is getting to be very robust and will continue to be so. I think strong games will have strong sales, and one of the things too is that these games can have really long tails. That it’s not just a matter of looking at the first month of sales.”
You’ll notice she didn’t say core, but experienced. Cammie went on to say that “Nintendo is working with third parties to help them understand that it’s all about taking advantage of the unique interface and our hardware. I think as people are getting more comfortable with our technology, they are creating better and better games.”[1]
