Rumor: Software exploit found on the Wii thanks to Zelda, homebrew loader soon?
Reports have surfaced that two hackers have been able to alter a save game from Zelda to crash the Wii machine and run their own custom code on it. The beauty of this hack is that there is no need to hard-mod your Wiii in order to run the exploit and all you need to do is copy over over a Zelda file, load it and the code should run. However, the hack is very much in its infancy and the team has only so far managed to run 4 lines of code after a day's work. Continue discussion here with more images available at FlickR.
