Top 10 selling games in Japan are all Wii/DS games
Nintendo have made the perfect start to 2008 in Japan. For the week ending January 6, all of the top ten sales spots were filled by Wii or DS games. The Wii and DS also took up 25 out of 30 top positions. Only three PS2 titles and two PSP titles stopped a complete whitewash, the highest non Nintendo game was Monster Hunter 2 for PSP in 14th place. The top 3 selling games were as follows 1. Mario Party DS (DS), 2. Wii Fit (Wii), 3. Wii Sports (Wii).

Final Fantasy IV raced past the 500,000 mark in fourth, Super Mario Galaxy was fifth with Dragon Quest IV in sixth – but not one of the top ten was a new entry.
