Bioshock ships over 1.5 million units, look forward to Bioshock 2 in two years?
Take Two has revealed that they have shipped out over 1.5 million copies of Bioshock worldwide since its late August release. While they didn't reveal how many exact sales Bioshock has experienced, they noted that sales were 'pretty terrific' and that Bioshock is on course to become one of the fastest ever selling videogames. Moreover, it was implied Bioshock will become a long term franchise with sequels being available every two years.

The company also revealed, in statements released alongside its financial filings, that BioShock has already shipped over 1.5 million units worldwide since its launch in late August, boding well for its Q4 results, which span August, September, and October 2007.
Elsewhere in the call, while Zelnick couldn't say definitively how closely sales were matching the shipping numbers of BioShock, he could say sales thus far were "pretty terrific" and that it was well on its way to become "one of the fastest selling games in history."
