An interesting video has emerged from Bungie's panel at this year's PAX Prime. Bungie showed off a little video showcasing what Halo: Reach looked like in its early development stages. What you'll see in the video is sort of a Halo: Reach cinematic montages- without the graphics. It's interesting to witness what a game looks like while in development.

A new video has emerged on YouTube which was intended on showing off a couple of new maps for Treyarch's latest edition to the CoD franchise, Black Ops, which was interesting, but that's not the reason why this video has become so popular. During the first part of the video, you'll notice a player holding an assault rifle... with a Flame Thrower (about a minute in)! That's right, the Flame Throwers that were a "must-have" during World at War's multiplayer matches will be making a grand return, sort of.

I have heard from a good source about Sony's next move to combat the PS3 hack (from an Australian source). This is what he told me - "I heard Sony is holding back new supply of consoles, as they are removing dev and debug modes. this means you cannot get consoles easily fixed in repair centres so no more extended warranties. THIS MEANS PSJB AND PSGROOVE WILL NO LONGER WORK ON NEW CONSOLES". Moreover, it is expected that the new 320GB PS3's will have firmware loaded onto the HDD and encrypted in a way that will not allow you to copy games to a new HDD as it will be locked to the retail HDD.

Since the release of PSGroove, hackers have increased their efforts to get the hack loadable via alternative devices. Understandably, attentions have turned to the PSP and a proof of concept has been released. Essentially, the hackers have managed to get the PSP recognized as a USB hub which could eventually load the exploit on the PS3. Although a couple of hours ago Mathieulh stated on his Twitter that "The more we look at it, the harder it is to come up with a PSP port". You can follow Maxconsole on Twitter @Maxconsoletweet.

Sure Gran Turismo is one of those iconic racing franchises, although would any of you out there really agree that it is something the genre 'absolutely needs'? Those are the words of a Sony VP. Specifically on the PS3, there is nothing quite like it (When GT 5 comes out), so from that perspective we think they have a point. Let's just hope it really lives up to expecations.

From the interesting and short shelf-life development. A hacker by the name of 'Keytor69' has released a 'PS3 Stealth Backup Manager'. Essentially, the tool disguises PS3 backups as Modern Warfare 2 and tricks the system.
